This policy explains how TradeVellum collects, uses, and protects information when you use the service.

Information We Collect

  • Account information, such as your email address and authentication identifiers.
  • Record content you add, such as trades, notes, tags, templates, screenshots, and imported CSV trade history.
  • Billing information handled by our payment provider, such as subscription status and product identifiers.
  • Technical information such as device, browser, logs, and usage data needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

How We Use Information

  • To provide trade recordkeeping, historical summaries, templates, settings, and billing access.
  • To authenticate users, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
  • To communicate important service, billing, security, and support information.
  • To understand product usage and improve TradeVellum.

Service Providers

  • Clerk is used for authentication and account management.
  • Polar is used for checkout, subscriptions, and billing portal access.
  • Neon/Postgres is used to store application data.
  • Hosting, logging, and infrastructure providers may process limited technical data needed to run the service.

Your Choices

  • You can update or delete journal content from inside the product where supported.
  • You can manage paid subscriptions through the billing portal when available.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by contacting support.

Data Retention and Security

  • We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
  • We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.
  • Broker or exchange credentials are not required for CSV imports and should not be shared with TradeVellum.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

TradeVellum and its providers may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security, billing flows, preferences, and basic product operation.
